Headquarters will be gathering voter info (Precinct boundaries, Names, Addresses,
phone numbers, party affiliations)...and supplying that info to each
Precinct General. Each General will have the services of the following Captains:
City Captain: This Captain will provide any and all information regarding Mayoral Candidates, City Council Candidates, School Board Nominees, etc. Also any city/local issues, propositions, etc.
State Assy Captain: This Captain will provide information regarding State Assembly Candidates specific to his/her Precincts. Also will supply info on State Propositions/Issues.
State Senator Captain: Same as above but for the State Senator Seat.
Congressional District Captain: Same as above but for the Congressman.
The strategy is simple. Generals will "walk"
their Precinct contacting friendly (Republicans) voters first...handing
out information on you and your mission. No hard selling here,
introduce yourself and let them know you are in the neighborhood and
available for any questions. Verify their phone #.
Next step..go after the Decline to States..and possible
Independents. Identify those friendly to the cause. (note their
address..phone #'s if you can). Don't debate those who are not...it
useless.
Next step..there are homes that are not on the list (we
call them Mystery homes)..as time permits..contact those...looking for
friends..noting addresses getting phone #'s if you can.
Unless you have much time on you hands ...contact "unfriendly"
homes...again, don't waste your time debating them. And don't waste
literature w/ them...unless they convert easily. This is not
recommended unless we get desperate.
When it gets close to the election...a personalized letter from you
should be done. It can be hand delivered..or mailed. On election day,
your updated phone list will be used to call in a "Get out and Vote"
campaign.
Headquarter's job is to keep you informed, supply you with
necessary Candidate/Issues literature. It will be your job to make sure
that this get's to each "Friendly Voter"...personally if you can (it
makes a big impression).
Also, feel free to get help from your neighbors..you are the
General.. If you need help, let us know...we will contact other
neighboring Precinct Generals to see if they have troops who can help.
